This complex explores the history of the Mataura Valley and highlights one of the area''s most notable features - the making of illicit ''Hokonui Moonshine''.

Situated close to Gore''s main shopping centre the Hokonui Heritage Centre is easy to find and provides a complete visitor service with the aid of the Gore i-Site Visitors Centre which is situated in the main foyer. A range of attractive ''Moonshine'' items are available for sale as gifts and souvenirs. Travel and local accommodation booking services are on hand.
